HEYYYY…..
howdy.
I know I know, I’ve been bad. Been neglectful, self-absorbed and carefree. But you know me.
First of all, HAPPY CHINESE NEW YEAR! My mom is making the 7th day dish. It’s made up of 7 vegetables (I think I’ve mentioned this before no?), and my grandmother used to make it for the whole family. I’m sure we would be missing her while stuffing our faces. Actually, even if we’re not stuffing our faces.
I’ve taken to fairy tales these days. Literary reads are too mind boggling. The last one i read was Seven Types of Ambiguity by Elliot Perlman. It took me a looooong time. Now this fella is self absorbed!! I’m just a peanut next to him. So now I’m reading Angela Carter’s fairy tales, probably meant for little pubescent girls but I don’t really care.
Today I went out for some errands and the shop assistant asked me when I’m releasing my next album. She said she was tired of singing the old songs over and over again.
!!??!!
I managed a polite smile and said “I don’t know.”
Serious stuff aside, here’s something trivial to share with my girl fans:
DO NOT GO FOR LASH EXTENSIONS.
I happily tried them out and have been regretting it 2 days after. They look hard and laquered and may cause EYE INFECTIONS. I had to take my little scissors and snip them away. So right now, half of my lashes are about 1mm short. Lovely.
alrighty, I reckon I would see some of you soon, and some, not so soon.

DEAR EVERYBODYI AM IN XINJIANG. I FEEL THE INADEQUACY OF MY TYPING IN MANDARIN MEANS THAT I SHOULD TYPE IN CAPS. IT’S LIKE WHEN IN A LOSING ARGUMENT, YOU FIND YOURSELF TALKING LOUDER AND LOUDER.
Today my friend chided me for being an erratic lousy Singaporean, always flitting in and out of my home country. BUT I argued that I was expending my talent overseas. Likewise, I could be blamed for not learning chided as well as I should, but eventually, I would put the responsibility on my education, my friends and the environment which I grew up in. So I apologize, for not apologizing.
hmm, not relevant.
I’ve been trying to finish The Rule of Four (a fiction book). It isn’t the greatest literary work but my short attention span does horrify me. Perhaps, as some might suggest, I am still a child. But I’m 29 YEARS OLD. Trust me, the thought process does alter over time. Hanging on to the tails of youth isn’t on my mind at all.
What I might be trying to say, is that, this is the point of my life whereby I love. I might make mistakes here and there, and there might be things I would never ever get down to doing, and some things are worth the extra mile, and some are best left alone. At 29, I have learnt this. And….It took me quite a bit to learn this.
The hard part, is deciding, which is which.
And then suddenly you realise, it’s not that hard.

How’s it going little ones?I reckon someone would come right up to my doorstep to chomp my head off if I should postpone this posting any further. I have been remiss, and am terribly guilty AND apologetic.
WELL.
Since the last message, I have been to Africa, Paris and Prague. I am looking forward to a relaxing trip to Shanghai, Hongkong or possibly Tokyo.
During the times when I had ‘disappeared from the face of mortal earth’, I have been painting miniatures, playing tennis, doing yoga, earning some money, eating ba chor mee at Vivo city (Singapore), reading Agatha Christie, packing my room and watching ratty movies.
Things I have been procrastinating include, updating you guys, repairing my scratched car and calling the bosses.
My brain however, has been actively…er…active. Experience have shown that ideas pop in and out when there is time to breath. I believe it’s called oxygenating the brain cells. So please, do not for a minute think that I would go away and never come back (ala Jeff Buckley), I still have unfinished business.
ok, gotta go.

Dear all
I suddenly realised I have been away for a long time.
It’s a funny mix of confusion and curiousity. A city that I have known well, suddenly became the feature in discovery channel, a magnified insect, and I am the curious Alice.
Places will be rediscovered, just as people can be re-introduced. It’s all strangely exciting.
The new album will be out on march 22nd. I’m happy to know that many people would own it physically and explore this 10th album. I do hope you will like it.

HI,
First of all, I’ll like to say, sorry. I haven’t been blogging/leaving messages/updating my life at all.
On a few occasions, I actually believed that I didn’t have to! But fortunately, beneath all my skepticism, I remember my generous, all-encompassing, loyal fans. I know it is unlike me to refer you as such, but…no buts, I just would like to give kudos to you once in a while.
I have been:
1. Busy with the music
2. Busy with …..
Actually, it’s been the album for the past 3 months or so. It’s coming along beautifully, and the planning department are on their way to greatness (heheh), I have no doubt that I’m proud of this album and goodness gracious, it’s going to be the 10th one!ooh.
I don’t know how the marketing is going to turn out. I don’t know if I have changed/evolved over time. I don’t know if my hair would be shorned short. I wish I knew if you would like it after all these years. And because I don’t know a lot of things, tomorrow would be another new day, another new challenge.
Thank you all (I’m always saying thank you ain’t I) for sticking by close, really appreciate it folks. One and a half more month to go, wait for me!!

Basically this question is posted by somone on the Capitol forum. This person is asking a question that is on a stormy night while you are watching a horror movie, suddenly the door bell rang. Someone who looked like yanzi appeared in front of you. What will you do? Yanzi chose option 2 which is to throw a vase at the “someone”.
